Old fart memories ...again ... but, the Devon was the first RNZAF aircraft I flew in with F/Lt "Rusty" Robertson.
I was given the job of winding in the trailing aerial, felt very special sitting in that right seat.
I remember he told me my pay would be docked for every foot lost on the fence if I got it wrong I never did find out how far behind the aircraft that thing went.
