That's the calibration flight, presumably checking the VOR and the DME at Whenuapai.

That Cheyenne 1V sure sounds sweet cruising around at low level. Must be doing the ILS approaches.

Yes the sound is what made me go and look at who it was, don't see this one too often.
Innate aircraft spotter... you can see them in a crowd, they can't resist lifting the eyes to the sound of anything Up There.
