Four or five passes this afternoon, pretty much on the same line as you can see.

That's the calibration flight, presumably checking the VOR and the DME at Whenuapai.

That Cheyenne 1V sure sounds sweet cruising around at low level. Must be doing the ILS approaches.

Yes the sound is what made me go and look at who it was, don't see this one too often.
Innate aircraft spotter... you can see them in a crowd, they can't resist lifting the eyes to the sound of anything Up There. B-)

I think one of the new guys at work used to fly it for these flights, will have to get some information from him about it
