I do think that REX and AS are comparable, quality-wise, although they both have their strengths. Like a lot of people, I moved from Rex to AS a while ago, but now Rex has kind of caught up with the technology. However I don't think the difference is enough to switch, all I'd recommend is that if you don't have either, get one or the other.
Naki's screenshots do speak for themselves, that's one fine looking weather/cloud depiction!
Personally I think we were spoilt by FSW's Truesky, as far as 'real' weather is concerned. Whoever gets a truesky implimentation in Prepar3d (or X-plane, or Aerofly FS2) will get my money.
