In memory of the 486th Squadron RNZAF

Here a few pictures of the Hawker Tempest Mk. V, how they also 486. Sqn. RNZAF has flown, in 1944/1945 up to her disbandment. The pictures come from the public beta version of the simulation "Operation Bodenplatte."
I do not point where the 486th was on the 1st of January, 1945 and whether it was involved in the fights, but she was on this scene and thus I waiting for a Repaint. This machine is known. She became flown from First Lieutenant Pierre Clostermann of the aerial armed forces of free France in the RAF.

The Tempest is a rare Bird. I know from only two examples worldwide.

There's one Tempest V and two Tempest IIs as far as I'm aware. There's also a Typhoon.

But... the Tempest Mk. II came after WWII in service....

Well yes but it's still a Tempest. If the bombs hadn't been used then it's likely they would've gone to the Pacific as part of 'Tiger Force'. Also was the basis for the Fury and Sea Fury
