Thanks a lot, Charl
Aharon, Charl is talking about John Young. He has build a huge range of military AI aircraft. Being originally a scenery designer with the ACG Team, he crossed over to AI development after he designed some aircraft to bring life to his RAF Duxford package: Mustang, Lancaster, Hurricane etc. To name just a few of his aircraft: all three V-Bombers, the B-17/24/25/36/47/58, Harrier, Hunter, Buccaneer, Osprey, Canberra, Lighting, F-15, F-111, Tornado, ShinMaywa, many of the Sikorsky helicopter and much more.
Although he started on a very high quality level with his first releases already, he has come a long way since then and many of his AI looks equivalent to flyable aircraft.
As for the future - MAIW is just coming to the last mile of a very ambitious project: we have converted all our FS9 AI aircraft to either FSX or P3Dv4 format. Plus many non-MAIW developers have trusted us with the conversion and release of their military AI, like Sergey Bunevich, Andrew Hall, Morné Pieters etc.
I will make sure to release the complete overview at this forum once we are done. If you want to take a look before - all packages are available for free in the MAIW download section.
So my hope is that 2020 will either provide us with a compatibility for at least P3Dv4 models. If that is not given, we are in for another conversion project when Arno has made that possible with his ingenious tool.
The LC-130 is indeed a lucky bird - Aurora Borealis on the first day...
