A few recent grabs from XP11:

All the above are freeware (!!) ... but this Tomahawk is the JF version:

Like all sims, XP11 has its weaknesses - but I do like the lighting. I can't put my finger on it - it just looks more real (than in P3D, for example).

I think XP has it all over everything when it comes to lighting, shaders and shadows. Flight dynamics are pretty on par too for the most part. Where it falls down is weather... and the fact that Austin is a bit nuts when it comes to changing things. We've been trying to convince him for months that there are some issues with the helicopter flight model but he refuses to listen unless we can put the maths on paper.... It's still the best overall helicopter simulator out there though.

I just can't control choppers in *any* sim (but especially in P3D!). It's such a frustrating experience I gave up. Plenty of wonderful fixed wing aircraft to play with!

Just need an instructor mate. The dynamics in FSX/P3D aren't conducive to learning either. Believe it or not, the more realistic it is, the easier it is to learn.

Other than the 'Tomahawk', all freeware and with your usual style. XP is starting to feel comforable - a lot of hidden stuff you won't hear from LR.
