Berlin-Schönefeld (EDDB) - Fuerteventura Airport (GCFV)

Condor Flugdienst Boeing 757-300

Many Germans normally fly to Madeira or the Canary Islands at Easter. . . My last stay on Fuerteventura, however, was a long time ago. It was the week before the changeover to the Euro. In the night in question I came back and was allowed to pay the taxi from Schönefeld to Potsdam in Deutsche Mark. . .
Today Condor belongs to Polska Grupa Lotnicza. . . One has to get used to that. The Boeing 757-300 is actually almost scrap iron. Condor, Delta, Icelandair and United have them in service. Today's flight was pretty fast. I was a good 10 minutes faster than the real flight of Ryanair with the Boeing 737-800NG, although I "took out some speed" in the thunderstorm over the Atlantic Ocean. In Schönefeld at take-off 8° C and at landing 21° C in Fuerteventura . . .

I have HIFI Active Sky + Active Cloud Art in Use... and there ist one trick. Under "Options" in P3D under Weather ... The control knob for the distance must be set to maximum and then it is especially important to set the dynamics of the weather to maximum. The weather then appears much more "lively" than the default setting Dynamic on 0. The effects on the framerate are surprisingly low as long as you keep your hands off high-resolution textures for the clouds.

I am from Germany, but I can't deny finding the new BER Berlin Airport (shot 4) being one of the most ugly airports opened through the last 30 years worldwide. Look at all the airports the Chinese alone opend during the last years.

Kind regards, Michael

If I use Ryanair between Riga and Berlin, I arrive in Schönefeld and that is - with permission - an Aldi airport....

For our New Zealand friends as a hint. Aldi is a German discounter, whose shops are very unloving and cheaply furnished, and who offers no service . . . and therefore is very inexpensive . . .
