P3Dv5 - The first encounter

Postby gsnde » Fri Apr 17, 2020 11:10 pm

The first time I have made shots in P3Dv5. My usual mix of OrbX and other sceneries, but no REX or comparable products.

Interesting to see how the AI fits into the later sim.
As ever, it's the effects that need a rework: smoke, prop disks etc

I absolutely agree, Charl - the effects are always troublesome. No wonder with the scenery based effects, these were made for FSX.

The props are perfect in principal. But there is a difference between how they are displayed with various graphic cards - NVidia and AMD is my best guess here. The same prop disk looks perfect on John Young's and many other computers. Not so on mine. We have tried to troubleshoot this big time, but to no avail.

I have never seen that in reality, but I know it happened.

I love how cloudy/hazy weather looks in P3Dv5, while sunny environment is not to my liking.
