Cheers, maybe that's the solution then, I do have a couple of old 360 controllers somewhere, all I need is a $25 adapter. If the Gamepad doesn't work perfectly, I'll go that way.

Yes I have the old 360 controller and microsoft adapter . Had no idea what the drone was and was looking for it in aircraft list , discovered it in camera section and it worked fine controlling view positions etc. Flying to NZQN at the moment.

Latest download had the same result. Have deleted the sim and started all over again. When I left it to go to work it was downloading a lot faster. Third time lucky?

Hello Rob I purchased the Logitech gamepad from Noel Leeming. Picked it up this morning I have used it to control the drone all is working well and the gamepad is operating the drone like it should after assigning the correct axis.

Is the Logitech gamepad recognised and mapped to views automatically or do you need to do that manually?

It was maped to alot of stuff like flying the plane etc so i deleted that profile and created a new profile just for the drone. As rob says above works out of box or you can just do what i did.

Flying around NZ cities have noticed major landmarks missing. Auckland no skytower , no arches on harbor bridge, no monument on one tree hill, l but I can navigate around buy roads and buildings , can see where I have lived and worked . does what I want for the type of flying i do. Wellington has no beehive and a flat cake tin but still fantastic for a default scenery. Orbx is already providing missing landmarks for London which I have installed, so maybe over time we will see improvements. for the price you are getting a level of detail that would have cost many many hundreds of dollars in addons , so in my opinion it is value for money and totally satisfied.

I sure hope, based on the YouTube video I saw, that Orbx don't provide POIs to the same standard as they did for London!

Hello all......I have downloaded (5 hour download) and installed FS2020. All went well, had a bit of a problem mapping the Flight Yoke System but finally got it sorted. However, I still have a problem - how do you find the logbook? Any help would be appreciated.

Checking the Logbook & Viewing Statistics in Microsoft Flight Simulator

To check your Logbook and statistics, simply click on ‘Profile’ within the Welcome Menu.

From here, select “Pilot Profiles.” You’ll now see an option for “My Logbook.” You’ll want to select this to get a complete breakdown of your various pilot statistics including how many hours you’ve piloted different craft for, where you’ve traveled from and to, and so much more.

Likely you may need to investigate getting the Simulation Panel Advanced Drivers: neXt Generation found on this link SPAD.neXt

Two flights from Wellington to Christchurch in A320 Neo, tried live weather, crap day in Christchurch cloud level at around 2000 feet most realistic flight I have ever seen on a sim . second flight cloud dropped to 500 feet thank goodness for ILS and autoland. I was wrong about NZ airports , they do have services, At Ch excellent jetaway then called up baggage, fuel truck , impressive.

Did you get it working? Although it sounds like you've read about the potential issues, I did notice when I downloaded it that it got "stuck" for quite long periods of time at certain amounts downloaded with seemingly no progress. I just left it going overnight and it was done by the early hours of the morning.
