That is the Loganburn Reservoir which up to a "few" years ago was the Great Moss Swamp which still shows on my ancient Dosli NZ Atlas. The old 3K? rutted 4WD track which used to take you to huts on the edge of a much smaller lake is no longer there as the Old Dunstan Rd now skirts the new lake edge. Great for 4WD and excellent fishing according to reports although I have not tried this.

I could have used FSX and FSET 20 years ago as it is a great tool for checking off road routes before you actually tried them.

Thanks for looking.

Jeffref,

Cool shots!!! If you want to know the fastest way to crop off window bars at top and bottom of your screenshots, here is link to freeware software called Jpegcrops at this link: http://www.ekot.dk/JPEGCrops.

This software can crop off window bars at top and bottom of 50 screenshots in splitting few seconds.

Regards,

Aharon

No its not. But I will try and get some comparison shots when I'm home in the weekend, as it would make a good comparison.

Also there is no such thing as FS2020. The latest sim is called MSFS as the new sim will be around for a number of years with ongoing updates and Microsoft/Asobo didn't want it tied to a year like previous MS Flight Sim editions.

Yes, I've done a flight from Queenstown to Dunedin a few times in MSFS, as it is just an amazing landscape, and it is such a real experience when the coastal cloud appears way off in the distance, so you know you're still on track. This is one of the flights I've discovered which are just another level in MSFS.

However MSFS does have a lot of aerial photo issues south east of the reservoir, which is one of the few places where this sort of patchwork kind of ruins the immersion. This will no doubt improve over the next couple of years.

Rocky
Shots are from FSX using my "home made" FS Earth scenery. (FSET)
They are limited by my relatively cheap graphics card however.
I think that this scenery would be also usable in P3D and I know Aerofly do use the same source data it with a different converter.
