Looks a bit short to be any of the Cub series but the landing gear says it's not a Pacer. Nice mods with the glass, VG's and gap-sealed elevators so what are we looking at?

Never saw a trim tab on a Cub - whole horizontal surface trims on a jack screw also no counterbalance on the elevators - even the Pacer had those.

Indeed they are, the paint is based on a piper of the RAAF that was based in PNG

I recognise Kokoda there, flown past it a few times. The latter shots are POM for sure. When I do get the sim, I'll be interested to see what that part of the world matches to what I'm seeing out the window... Historically, flight sims don't do too well in this part of the world
