Over Timaru

Postby toprob » Sun Jan 03, 2021 4:02 pm

At the moment splitting my time between standing outside my house as the front hits, and flying over my house in the sim. Both reality and the sim are impressive! Only reality is displaying lightning, though, unfortunately.

As per the Title of the post both screen shots are taken Over Timaru a port city in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand.

Which as is stated is the city where Toprob house is.

These are just comparison screenshots taken of his Home city Timaru in MSFS with Real World weather that was occurring at the same time.

Hence his comment.

Radar is exactly right. The front came and went in about 10 minutes. I fired up the sim to see how it reacted to the changing weather, and it did really well. I have read that the real weather data is a bit too 'low-res', and not always up to date, so this was a good test for me.
In the second shot my house is just off-screen bottom-left:)
