Yes Nanchangs do aerobatics I have had the pleasure of flying backseat doing aerobatics in both WOK and China Doll STP the only problem with the Nanchang doing aerobatics is that they throw out a lot of oil and you have a big cleaning job after you land

Sure are,but Yak-52's are better.
Hehe an they land on soft surface's better than Nangchangs like sand. laugh.gif

I'm thinking more about modelling a Nanchang as its an aircraft I'd like to fly and own one day. Can anybody source any good 3 view drawings? The only ones I can find online are low res and not accurate enough for modelling. Might have to talk to Gavin as we both live close to Omaka and a couple of these birds located there, to get details from.

I've got a few.
Plus I'm out at the aero club at weekends most of the time so I could get you some as my dad knows a few people that own shares in the nanchangs.

I can't really promise anything but I could ask around for ya. smile.gif

Have you found anything yet as I can get hold of a Nanchang manual which has the profiles and cockpit layout in it.
May also be able to get the plans.

Doug

Yes you spot on there Dean I didn't get the manual this weekend but will probably be able to get it next week end it belongs to Nanchang china doll and Steve is working up in Hamilton during the week but come home on the weekends I can get some photos of the Nanchang side front back and cockpit also if you want them.
You are welcome to come and have a look and see what details you would like to get also so if you ring me when you get back on the weekend we can make a time with Steve to go have a look.

I did take a whole ton of close-up and detail shots of 20/JQS at Omaka two years ago but sadly I've lost the disc! However I think if you got in touch with the owners/syndicate something could be arranged smile.gif

It finally happened! Nearly 14 years after I made this pleading post someone has released a Nanchang for Flight Sim!

Of course, it's released when I'm jobless and can barely afford food let alone add-ons...
