Care to list configuration of your rig that you say is aged but can run MS2020 well, please?
Corsair H80i water cooler, Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz, Kingston HyperX Predator 4x8GB DDR4 3200MHz, Asus Prime Z370-P II, Gigabyte GTX1080 8GB, EVGA SupeNova 750WG3 80+ Gold PSU, Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 3TB SATA3, LG GH24NSB0 24x DVD writer black, Cooler Master N600 case, Logitech LS21 speakers, Win10 Home.
I also use TrackIR and a Saitek hardware - pedals, TPM, radio panel, switch panel, multi panel and trim wheel. And a Desktop Aviation parking brake. Basic Logitech 3D Pro joystick..
I think it might be around 4-5 years old now. I need to do an upgrade when VR meets my personal high requirements! But now now it is ok - running out of space on C: (the 128GB) but otherwise it is doing ok.
I don't have MSFS at full detail and in really heavy clouds I get some slow downs. I haven't tried really busy, scenery heavy areas as I fly almost solely low level, slow GA in New Zealand. As far as addons; a few GA aircraft, and a good few NZ airports, including the major ones released by the likes of FlightBeam and NZA Simulations. A few freeware ones as well of smaller airfields.
For that, like I said, it runs well enough for me and I certainly have no plans to revisit P3D.
If you have the disk space, I suggest try it and see.
