Splitpin MIA

Woooof, iiitttss me , flashpin (that will mean nothing if you haven't watched Black adder)

Anyway, I'm still here, I've been away on special ops in Patagonia....... well actually I've been stuck at home with another bout of the covid thing ...and...an awful sciatic nerve thing in my right leg.
Tested positive last week, but no symptoms other than a head cold, which is why I was asked to test. The nerve thing came the day after.
My partner is away in Japan tending to her elderly mother, and I don't see the lads because of their shifts....I hope they haven't moved out ....needless to say, things are a bit strange at the moment.
Won't have her indoors home until December 5th, the prices from Japan to NZ are just horrendous ......that was the cheapest fare we could find, and she won't fly with anyone except ANZ, so I guess we can't really complain.

I did find a slightly cheaper flight, but it involved a 14-hour layover in Singapore, on SQ.

So, how have you all been?..... but keep it brief :P Don't worry about missing me... it's natural, you can't help yourselves ...I understand.

Marty?!?! Marty who??? :nahnah:

Jeeze that's no good re the health, but at least there's noone in the house to hear you complaining aye? :P I love my family but i also love having the place to myself once in awhile ..

enjoy it if/while you can

Seeing as you asked, and to keep it brief .. have had some minor health issues of my own in the last fortnight, hurt one shoulder rock climbing (pulled deltoid muscle), hurt elbow on other arm (pulling some heavy stuff in the yard at work, stressed out the area near the metal-work in my elbow where I busted it a few years back), and then the trifecta was I put my bloody back out a few days later. So for about a week solid have been sucking panadol and ibuprofen likes its going out of fashion. Today tho, think all the niggles have mostly subsided, fingers crossed <_<

Anyway, enough about me :D

Quite right Dean  Anyway thanks to you and that other feller, shares in companies producing Ibuprofen and Paracetamol have steadily improved, unlike anything else I can think of.
There's always a Bright Side.
Chap pitched up here today with a "90-Day Cough".
Claims it was Flu.

Marty, your absence was actually noted.
Just a coupla weeks more and we'd have organised a posse.
You still have a good mouse hand? Best to get busy on the NZFF Forums, then.

Nothing worse than scoring an unplanned holiday and then being too crook to spend it simming. I have been climbing the wall (without injury) trying to transfer my AFS2 from the C: drive to a 2TB SSD - who would have thought a 1TB HDD would be too small?
Anyhow, after some outside the box thinking, I realised (a) AFS2 will not be upgraded so (b) the rule to keep 3rd party addons out of the main AFS2 area no longer applies, so instead of battling to organise an alternative user folder on the G: drive, I just put all that stuff in the addons folder which the Orbx installer created and it now comes up all purty!
So with that sorted, I can get back to switching the flying machines to Linux, and get rid of MS Windows for good

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Thanks for the replies gents.
Dean, I won't complain again after reading your biology lesson .....bloody hell mate, look after yourself.
To be honest I enjoy the space at home ...but will be good to get the old girl home.

Charl, I often worry about some of our core members when there's no communication here, I know it's not compulsory, but I do worry.
