Stopping off at Mt. Cook

Postby Charl » Sun May 21, 2023 8:33 pm

I was just going to fly a track from Tekapo past Lake Pukaki down to Omarama, when on impulse I turned right.

Jump out, stretch the legs

You may remember the Nelson scenery, same deal here:

Next: a change of aircraft, the better to see it against the snow on the trip northward, and dust off that poor Squirrel's window.

It's the time of the helicopter and I'm happy that others seem to see it in a similar way to me. But one would wish for many more heliports. This is not only the case with you in New Zealand. The many drilling platforms in the North Sea from Aerosoft, Paris and Los Angeles are the ideal employment opportunities at the moment. One hopes that there is more to come. At the moment I have 7 different helicopters in operation.

Err.... HOT?

Wouldn't hurt - but my helicopter doesn't really mind taking off from just about anywhere!
Irony is that the H145, surely the pinnacle model at present, is rejected at MSFS helipads because of "Aircraft Type"

EDIT
Just a note on the shots:
I use Postimage, which I see slips in little links to places like "Keyboard.check" on the uploaded pics.
This is most likely a keyboard logger,
DO NOT CLICK anywhere on these images or funny links.

Also, given how much my screens are mangled, I am looking for a better image host.
Any ideas welcomed.

HOT? I dunno...Reference was to the summer clothing with all the snow. Comment too obscure perhaps. :P
