An unexpected encounter with a friendly Frenchman

Postby Splitpin » Tue Jul 11, 2023 6:50 am

There I was fluffing about in my Volga Electric Lightnovitch, trying to retract the stuck-speed brakes. But when I replayed the flight to get some screens, I spotted the Mirage behind me.
I never saw him at all until then.

I used the camera to see things from his point of view....

Phew, lucky he spotted you as a Double Agent, not shooting first and asking later...
What different aircraft, eh?
The Mirage was and is the most delicate of instruments.

Nono you are thinking of that other Thread in Marty's Head: the Phanta m
You see how quickly these things get out of hand?

Thanks for looking, friends...Charl I agree 100% "The Mirage was and is the most delicate of instruments." one of, if not the most beautiful airframes made.

From the stuff that I've read, the guys who flew both were very complimentary of the Mirage. Sort of a "French Lightning"
