There's a prototype for everything

Postby emfrat » Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:51 pm

In my railway modelling days, we all believed in a 'prototype for everything' department, which was very useful for people like me to confound self-styled experts like me, by proving their petty criticisms wrong. :D
So I was delighted to find, thanks to the Beeb, a very weird cloud into which I would not dare fly, nor would anyone who remembers the Patrick McGoohan TV series 'The Prisoner'. Follow the link below, and scroll down to the 12th pic

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Cheers, Marty - The feature updates every Saturday, and there is a good mix of happy snaps and near-professional stuff.

Huh, bet that caused a stir on the day

Yep remember and love that show, even visited the village it was filmed in when living in the UK, such an amazing and surreal spot

The Prisoner.

"You are Number Six".
"I am not a number. I am a free man!"

Patrick McGoohan was perfect for the job!

A magical series!

Unfortunately, I never got around to venturing that far up the Welsh Coast from Aberystwyth.

Paul... :D ...!
