A Mirage for JK

The first shot from the new machine ...and from War Thunder.

No editing at all. You may not notice, but that little FPS thing in the bottom left corner amazes me. On the old machine, that would have been 50 or 60.
Everything is a learning process at the moment...I really need a break, just to get all this sorted....but until Easter...no chance.
The new Joystick works perfectly, in case you were wondering...

Great screenshot! That framerate ... wow ... if only I could get that in MSFS (on my NEW machine)!!!

I haven't used War Thunder for over 5yrs (I think I'm still registered as a free user) ... does it still have the external restriction where the aircraft is locked in the centre of the screen - and you can't pan it in any way?

That is one beautiful Mirage 2000. I believe that the EC on the tail refers to Escadrille de Chasse, hope my French is right.

EC 1/12's title was Cambrai.
The Tiger Meet scheme really suits it.

Marty - is there a list somewhere showing you which aircraft are available for free? I seem to remember it took absolutely *ages* to accumulate enough points (lions??) to get anything half decent.

Adam, there are some entry-level aircraft or whatever they call them....but nothing is free as such on this platform anymore.
I gave up "grinding" my way to the next best thing, and just threw money at it, and became one of the dreaded "wallet warriors" as if I care.
I have found a way to have my own space ...after all these years  , a player on WT told me how to set up my own space to fly....and not get killed after 30 seconds....and it's great.
A bit hard to explain at the moment..... One more half day at work tomorrow, and then I start to get this changeover sorted.
