Kahului Airport (PHOG) - Hilo International Airport (PHTO)

Actually a nice flight over to the Big Island, this mercilessly shows a weakness in the MSFS flight planning as it obviously doesn't take the terrain into account in the least. In the meantime I've had a subscription to Simbrief put on me because this is completely useless. To show this, I used the route that MSFS planned. You'll see what I mean. On this flight you also have to take into account that the Short 330/360 does not have a pressurized cabin.

The problem is. I'm not a night owl and use real time and real weather almost always. When I get up, it is often too late to fly in the daylight with you. And at night? Apart from the pictures, your beautiful mountains on the southern island give me the creeps. The risk of “grabbing the ball” is high. I don't like flying at night. But maybe I'll make an exception. I have such a nice storm tool and want to see what it's worth. Lots of historical weather situations and a crafting tool. This has to be tried out. Sometimes I'm crazy enough to be looking for the most stable, low-flying bird in my collection.

Looking at the aircraft, you can certainly how it got the nickname The Shed.
Great shots though.

No. It is not a beauty in the broadest sense, but it is pleasant to fly and actually pleasantly surprised me. All in all, Blackbox did a good job.
