Unfortunately, the Boeing 787 has now come under discussion again because of sloppy workmanship. If you look at what has been going on at Boeing since around 2003 (!), the whole thing is like a tragedy.

The alleged murder of a former Boeing 737Max production control engineer is bad. This man has spent his time for Boeing for 32 years and now retired, and talk of "suicide" doesn't make things any better. The fact that when searching for flights on the Internet you can "deselect" certain flights with certain types of aircraft could cause Boeing serious losses to customers here in Europe. Which airline buys aircraft that are unpopular with its customers? In our case, Ryanair, the largest operator of the Boeing 737-800NG, is certainly also affected, which is replacing it with the MAX8. Despite the fact that Ryanair is unrivaled cheap and in terms of total losses of aircraft has an impeccable safety record, despite having the most flights in Europe, it could be in trouble. Example. As you know, I'm flying from Berlin to Riga often enough. 1. Ryanair, because of the Price-performance. 2nd place is Air Baltic from Latvia. She uses the Airbus A220-300, the original Canadian CRJ that Airbus purchased. Lufthansa is not an issue because I would then have to go from Berlin to Frankfurt/Main and waste half a day there before flying to Riga late in the evening and then getting there too late to reach my apartment by public transport. Taxi is not recommended due to the increased fuel prices and attempts by Latvian taxi drivers to defraud foreigners.
The production of the Boeing 787 first came into discussion with an article on Al Jazeera. When Boeing employees who are involved in the production of the 787 are asked whether they would fly on these planes and answer "no," it makes you think (The employees were unrecognizable.)
