just got this machine and will be waiting for a civilian freighter for use in Alaska. But this one will also find work. Memories come back to an airplane graveyard in Da Nang in 1986. But I can't remember if there was a C-46 there. There you could find "everything" that the Americans used in Vietnam and neighboring countries. I remember an F-5E and an A-37 that are now in the Aviation Museum in Prague. The aircraft, which were no longer airworthy, were delivered to this museum by the Vietnamese for 2 barrels of Slivovitz and self-collection.

Unfortunately, the reviews are not that great for it. Hopefully some of our clever sim community devs will do one or two mods for it.

The third shot clearly shows why it had the nickname of The Whale.
All great shots though.

More great shots of The Whale. The C-46 was the best twin-engined transport used in the CBI Theatre, and I have to say that the OD/NG camouflage really suits it.

This would be agreed if their engines in particular had not been so unreliable.

Remarkable. This allows you to fly to Yellowknife. Thanks.

There is a mod on Flightsim.to that gets rid of those horrible glossy tyres.
