MSFS 2020: I got Grass

It's an ORBX addon, which attempts to create biome profiles for the world.
Here's one from the South Island

Wow. What’s the add on called? ORBX grass? Does the grass change geographically?

CP it's called MSFS Global Trees HD
Like its forbears, you have to launch the thing from Orbx Central and select a season.
It claims to know where to put whatever biome is appropriate to the area.

Years of practice :D although MSFS needs some work on the rotorcraft for sure.

That's definitely the type of thing that I'd be first in line for, but in the last few months of the old sim I've decided to pass. I wonder if there'll be room for improvement in 2024.

Charl....you do indeed have grass. Appears to be a Fescue Varity, a good alternative for perennial ryegrass .... evidently.

But seriously, it looks great, and I agree with CP, great chopper parking....I would have ended up over yonder fence.

And I would sit crossways or one skid on and one skid off. My helo landings are considered a test of the landing gear elasticity.

a test of the landing gear elasticity

In truth, this is a fair comment, the Lama is providing some challenges:

Looking good Charl !!

The fling-wing simmers seem to be really getting behind MSFS now, is it fair to say the experience is better than in P3D? or is it still a bit tough to fly a helo in any kind of sim really without maybe VR or some other way to get visual feedback?

Y'know the last time I properly got to grips with them was FS9, you could even use the term "Mastered"!
Don't know if the models changed much for the later editions?

I do find MSFS2020 very difficult, especially the last couple of metres in a manual landing.
Asobo seem to have built in ground and vortex ring state effects, and the mix is not quite right.

Having said that, the HG H145 is a cracker.
But it has all sorts of stability controls available, just like the real thing.
