Biplanes being my current interest, I dug up the Stearman and flew around a little, by way of comparison with the Waco.

It's a shirtsleeves rolled-up kind of plane



Being a trainer, it is very forgiving (and see clip below)







I quite like the sound of the motor, and was going to cannibalise it for the Harvards.
But it's the wrong kind alas.



Here's the clip then, and it is indeed a female pilot figure in the front.
I don't think I installed her there, but now she must take it on the chin.

I used to work with a guy , Andy Horsebourgh (I think that's the right spelling) ...anyway, his brother owned , or part owned one, cant remember his name.

Actually this exercise came about because I re-discovered the TrackIR's Pro clip.
I had just been using the unpowerede thing that clips to a cap, but this was proving erratic in the sim computer's new location.
For the first time also, I spent time with the settings, and the accuracy and response are what I was missing all these years!

Especially in external views, it allows precise panning which is great in the sim, but also very useful when making a video clip.
Note in the above "tower" shots how the "cameraman" is a hamhanded amateur who can't find the subject, and wobbles etc etc.
Just like my RL airshow videos, I notice.
