Beautiful model from Milviz, and repaints from KCGB at Flightsim.to

I've been lucky enough to have had 3 amazing flights in one of these.
One in particular stands out , while overnighting at Franz Josef on a tour. I got talking to one of the pilots at lunch, and he offered me a ride over to Mt Cook to pick up something for a helicopter and then back to Franz.
Its a really short flight but spectacular, and the arrival even more so. He briefed me for a Beta decent....the puker factor was off the scale, almost vertical nose down just short of the threshold ...but really slow.
Then out of Beta...touch down and reverse, stopping almost straight away ....amazing aircraft.
Ended up having a few beers with him and another pilot that night, some of the stories were really interesting. Every time I mentioned that I needed to eat something, they said (as they shouted another round) "there's a pork chop in every pint"
That was the only time I breached the company policy of no alcohol 8 hours before departure. I must have contracted the flu overnight, as I wasn't feeling that great in the morning....or maybe it was the whole pig I ate the night before.

Anyway, I'm going to fly the wings off this model ....loving it....sorry about the waffle.

Great shots ... but it's not a great looker, is it, the Porter? I think I prefer the PZL Wilga

I can never get my head around how to manage turboprop engines. Every time I try to read up on how they work, my brain just freezes!

Great post... I never could persuade myself to spring for the Milviz model, given there was a (free) stock one in the sim!

Have you come across a paint for MCN anywhere?
I'd buy whatever model it came on, for my Real vs Sim experience

But the Wilga, Adam? Really ?
Notwithstanding, both are favourite aircraft in my FS hangar.

Thanks for looking Adam and Charl.
Charl, yes you will find MCN on FSto....I understand that it wore a couple of schemes, I hope the one offered suits you.
Adam, I've been thinking about getting the Wilga ....along with so much more, I cant believe what's out there for 2020.
I'm really looking forward to the PMDG/ASOBO/NASA, study level collaboration on the Airtruk... :)

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Aah now it comes back to me...USD34.99 Ouch!
I previously settled for MCT which is free in the sim, and I think it will still do.
Haven't these guys heard of Christmas? Black Friday?? Boxing Day???
I think it's the .99 that affronts me. :)

Your screen topic onwards now, Mr. 'Pin

I believe you mean Alpine Porters SP
Both great shots, but the Mount Cook one gets my vote simply because of the colour.
