Guests at Robin Masters’ estate

A reminder of the 80s is the series “Magnum” featuring Tom Selleck in the lead role. By his side was the unforgettable Jonathan Higgins, played by John Hillerman, the estate manager who, along with his two watchdogs Apollo and Cody, kept order at the estate of Robin Masters, a famous author. Meanwhile, they solved numerous criminal cases in the "extended neighborhood."

Of course, there was also the notable T.C., who conquered the skies with his Hughes 500D, which features an eye-catching paint job—there's even a rendition of this helicopter in the Cowan edition for MSFS 2020. Rick, the charming bartender, rounded out the team, bringing his own brand of humor to the stories.

For MSFS 2020, there is a replica of Robin Masters' estate. Today, we will be flying from the heliport of Honolulu International Airport to there.

As Higgins would probably say, “Oh my God, that was tough, wasn’t it?”

Great series, and that Ferrari! Wow.

As I recall the actual helo was a "C" model which had the blunt round nose and looked a little comic book I thought.
The "D/E" above is my helo of choice in the sim.

NZ has around 100 of this family still flying, per capita the highest ownership in the world.

There was a C that showed up occasionally but my recollection was that it was mostly Ds. The aircraft changed frequently in the episodes (a short search shows that there were three Ds and one C used) The C is by far the nicest to fly as a pilot.

Long time ago, and back then I didn't know my C from my D
I did read a snippet that the series almost didn't make initial production after a crash which launched the (late) cameraman through the main rotor...

Yeah, I think that's how the C ended up there in the first place, as a replacement for the wrecked D
