Recently, I had the opportunity to fly the route from Tan Son Nhat (VVTS) to Da Nang (VVDN) in MSFS 2020. It was a pleasant flight that transported me back to 1986 when I flew this route as a passenger on an Ilyushin Il-18.
Back then, Vietnam was still marked by the scars of war. The landscape told stories, and Da Nang airport was a remnant of that era. I remember the blast protection boxes, the huge pile of American aircraft wreckage, and the terminal with its saloon doors.
These memories evoke a sense of nostalgia and allow me to appreciate the changes the country has undergone since then.
