Quick question: is the WD 3 TB hard disk drive 7,200 rpm or 10,000 rpm??

Cheers, I'll check that out. As mentioned (I think), the challenge is that graphics card availability, or a suitable replacement; I haven't heard back from PB Tech yet.
I've got 'one crack' at getting a PC this good, so I'm trying to make the most of it! It's unlikely I'll get another chance for another 8 years (which is how old my current one is).
I am really looking forward to exactly how good some of these games can look though.
I'm also looking forward to hiring some VR headsets to see how much better they have become since last time (I hired the Vive Pro, but wasn't impressed enough to purchase).

jpreou wrote:Is 2024 more 'disk-hungry' than 2020? I've had 2020 on a 1TB drive for a long time and still have 400GB free. I do tend to focus only on NZ and almost never download 'global' scenery. I have a relatively small footprint.
jpreou wrote:Actually not sure on the spin speed of the SATA, and really isn't a factor; it is simply an 'archive' disk.

You certainly do NOT want to buy hard drive disk with 5,400 rpm by mistake
