A380 Again, again

Marty you made me look

Cossetted in your upstairs cabin, you look out over that massive wing and see another!
Heathrow is full of them, "ours" happens to be a Qatar livery that popped up on FS.TO

Image

Pressing nose to plexiglass (?) you see all the acreage.
The whole construction will flex upward on takeoff, which boggles the mind.
(Also: The tailplane is just a little smaller than an A320 wing.)

Image

You see what I did, don't you?
The entire Schnozz is carefully disguised by a random jetway, so it looks like just any old huge plane. :)

Image

Not a bad place to be, to while away a few hours :)

Haven't figured out who'd want no less than the eight Qatar liveries in the download, different rego's?

Looking good gent's .. got a soft spot for these ungainly giants...

May have shared this before, but years ago during one of those Icelandic eruptions I was on my way to Norway from NZ and trip ended in Singapore as European airspace was mostly closed. The ENTIRE Singapore fleet of A380's was parked up in a row at Singapore Changi made for quite a site seeing dozens of the monsters all in a row down one side of the terminal. Very impressive.

I remember the occasion, the volcano is best recalled in English as "I forgot the yoghurt!"
Must've been quite a sight indeed, to see all those beached monsters.

I've never walked down the length of an A380, but this model has a full interior.
So I navigated its length using the arrow keys, and it took forever.

These liveries are probably 4K but what is with the 8K liveries? 8K really? Most simmers machines will be maxed out a 4k so why 8K?

From that thread: I still miss FS9

Was called Eyjafjallajökull as mentioned above :)

I splurged on an upgrade to Business Class, for the first leg GLA-DXB, and this is the cosy corner they gave me on the B773.
