Don't worry about the scenery, the trucks look great.

That Turkish C130 midair breakup was nasty. Another wing separation looking at the video footage.
Edit: it doesn’t look like wing separation in the usual sense but more the fuse breaking off forward and aft of the wing. Very odd.

Very odd CP...both wings and all four engines apparently in tact ...awful to watch.
What the hell would have caused that ?

One hard landing too many might overstress top longerons, subsequent failure would be consistent with what was seen.

The BUFFs must be hell strong - they all have wrinkly fuse skins (faithfully reproduced in your recent screens, Marty)

Someone commented that the prop was missing from one of the inboard engines. Prop overspeeds and separations have occurred on a few off them. Friends and colleagues that flew them said a "runaway prop" was a major issue and needed an immediate shutdown. It might be possible that a prop separation sliced through enough of the forward fuselage to cause it to fail. The resultant stresses may have caused the rear fuselage to separate. Or it may have simply been fatigue, corrosion or a combination of the two.
