Correct me if I am wrong but I think that livery participated in Vietnam war.

You're not wrong, it actually flew the very last prop driven operational flight of the US Navy in 1968.

Jankees,

The funny thing is that 10 hours later after my posted question, my tv was showing history of participation of that SAME plane and SAME livery in the Vietnam war and how that plane managed to shoot down MIG-17s in dogfights!!
