More West Coast, for the Low and Slow

The West Coast is great for pootling along in small aircraft.
The Magni M24 Autogyro is possibly at the extreme end of that scale.
But it is surprisingly versatile.
Here we are at Westport, an excellent FS2020 freeware scenery from NZA Simulations, a very competent lot as we know.

And some low and extremely slow, that’s not an explosion, it is an unrestricted climb from a steep mountain track.

Autogyros need a little forward speed; they are not helicopters, easy to forget.
But 455 rpm on the rotor readout is a comforting reminder that you can stay up.
And you can put down in most places too.

Not only that, if you wrap up well, you can get up ‘n go.
Over the highest mountain at better than walking pace.

I grew quite fond of the funny little egg.
I might be tempted by something like this, in the Real World, I imagine.
