VOZ AI re-released

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Howdy,

... any idea where 'Dennis Thompson's Timezone 3.0' that was mentioned in your readme is available from?

Technically, the latest version of TZ is available here: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/FST ... =217193295. You DO need to be a member of YahooGroups AND the TZ Forum to access the files.

The GUI (recently released to AvSim, FlightSim.com, yada, yada, yada) was created by FS Real Time and is now a limited shareware programme. It is not really needed for TZ to function, but it is a nice interface.

Dorian

Update on the O'conner Cessna's...

I have noticed that their registration shows up at ZK-NC* (three diff regos beginning with NC). These regos belong to the Air NZ 767's... Is this a mistake by any chance, that maybe the wrong aircraft has been assigned to Air NZ 767's?? They still use the O'Conner callsign tho..

Any ideas VH-MAL?

Cheers!

Why anyone would refuse permission for projects like VOZ or the GNZLAP is beyond me! Surely these things showcase the guy's work which otherwise goes largely unnoticed. If I was fortunate to have the VOZ people want to use one of my AI models I would consider it a great honour.
Knowing that VOZ is downloaded over 50,000 times would surely be a developers dream! But it seems not! I'm told it takes all types to make up a world, I suppose we need someone to fill the psychiatric institutions otherwise the people who run them would be out of a job!

Here's the DHL 727 that frequents NZ; VH-DHE.  Yeah, it's going to be included in the next NZ Retro AI package.  :)   Unfortunately, for the non-retro guys, this aircraft is now painted in DHL's new colours.  So, if someone feels like painting the new colours on this bird, that'd be much appreciated.  B)

I take it you are not a fan of the newer DHL "Puke and Blood" colours Jason ??
I wouldnt say its exacxtly my favourite colour scheme either,............. stands out in a crowd though, certainly no mistaking who's plane it is

More of a 'mustard and tomato sauce' kind of look. I do like the new colours more than the old colours, but that's not saying much.

Ahh ha! That would make sense as I havn't been seeing any ANZ heavies at NZAA

I think all that has changed is that the red lines are now a little brighter, and what was white before is now yellow:

Would it not be a case of a simple sample of colour from a photo, then a click of the 'fill' colour tool? I am no expert, but if no one else has touched it by the time the package is released, I'll give it a go.

I have checked everything in my AI, the aircraft folder, textures'aircraft.cfg file and model,
I've checked O'Connor flightplans, aircraft.txt and everything seems to be normal.

I went and checked all the Air New Zealand heavies and DHL and I cannot see anything wrong.

I will keep searching for the problems you are having.

Thanks for your help Mal.

I am just wondering if anyone else is seeing the ANZ heavies with VOZ AI, or is it just you?

Thanks Mal, maybe it's just me who is not seeing the heavies.

Would it help if I deleted the O'Conner aircraft from my fs folder, so that the heavies will appear instead of them do you think?

If so, what exact files should I need to delete?

Cheers

For some reason I get O'connor at NZAA as well, still haven't worked that out.

All of ANZ are definately there.

O'Connor aircraft in the pack are Cessna 441 and JS31 but I wouldn't delete anything just yet.

Did you go to NZAA in N.Z time.

Well I have cycled through lots of different time settings on 'Saturday 25th November 2006' sim time but found no ANZ heavies.

I had my AI traffic setting to 70% with both GA and Airline traffic ticked, but only get the foreign heavies at NZAA.

Could you suggest a definite time and date that you see them Mal, and I will try and copy your settings?

Never mind, I took a flight today (time set to 6am, Tuesday 28th November 2006), and found my ANZ heavies at Auckland:
