Fsx Skins - New Releases

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Hi everyone, well for my 600th Post I thought I'd show you the latest batch of skins due for release shortly. Still one to come for this set of releases, thats not ready yet thought, so here are a couple of R22's and another C172

R22 - Helipro - This is based on the one I saw at Masterton, sadly the skin 'problem' struck home so I had to compromise heaps on the tail and rotor shaft compartment above the canopy (who would make THAT a one sided texture  ..I shan't get mad, I need to find my happy place)

I also did the interior as well to match the blue finish rather than the beige..

The second one is Northshore Helicopters, I wont comment on compromises (happy place)

The third skin is the Air Discover cessna 172. See how it compares to the real thing..

Not to bad I think, a few minor changes to ensure textures didn't curl. Some close ups to finish.

Along with the Freedom A321's these will all be released in one hit along with the final skin I have started for this set. Cheers.

Jon , That Cessna looks great ! , ........ pity about painting tail issue not fixed - there are just some lucky models to hide failings :( or just the right paint :)

Good stuff Jon, the Cessna seems to be only limited by how dirty MS made it look (look at the back corner of the cabin where the side window meets the back one and compare it to the photo)

Wow, I think I'll have to download EJY when it comes out, and also the Helipro one and land it on the lawn at the hotel. :P

The C172 skin is a pleasure to paint, and your right, they did a good job with her

I just emailed him with the link to this forum actually. Once my scenery is complete it would be cool to make up a little brochure/poster to be put up at the Air Discovery HQ with the links to the repaint and scenery so that people can recreate their flight virtually....

Ill talk with you about this in the future though

And the last one...

Sadly I was going to do the Mooney for this one but the skin was...well, it wasn't going to work so ended up with the Baron again, only because the C172 was well catered for for now.

Not sure who requested this one, hope its ok. Feedback welcome if something really annoys you about it, perhaps the rego could have the ZK taken out and made bigger?

I hope to package the 321's, C172 and this over the next few days and have them online

 Good show Jon, downloading Now
Ladies and gentlemen I could've told you there would be a red Robinson.
Jon photographed that little chopper from every angle.
So much so that in the end I gave up trying to get a picture, and just photographed him photographing it

Cool, hope you like them.

Still open to ideas as well, so if people have an aircraft from the FSX default fleet they want to see, let me know.

If you check the FSX page on flightsim.co.nz you will see the skins in the pipeline, so check there first before posting new requests.

Cheers.
