Boeing vs Airbus Poll

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

I had to ask, and I just wanted to get a gauge as to how many A and B supporters there are out there... Feel free to add your abuse at either manufacturer, but please keep it clean :)

Boeing are very good planes. A very trusted company. Airbuses are flown by computers virtually. Boeings are flown by pilots.

I don't really care, but I like the look of the Airbuses though (hides). I compare Boeings to the old bedford school buses and Airbus' to a new luxury coach :P

If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!

I dont really like airbuses... they just look funny... the A340 has too many engines and the wings have this funny arch to them... and i just loathe the big fat pig aka. A380...

But then again, I'm not completely sold on the 777 either... and the 787 looks a bit weird as well...

To be brutally honest tho... I dont really care... as long as I get premium economy or business class <_<

Voted Boeing but don't forget MD or the company they took over DC. Some TRULY great aircraft came out of those stables.

and would you ever trust an aircraft made by a company in a place called "toulouse" or "TOO-LOOSE"?????

747-800 should be prety nice. I think the 787 looks kool but I don't like the look of the airbus gray flight deck that iv seen in a few pictures..

I voted for either or - tend to like Airbus narrow bodies whilst my preference is Boeing for the wide bodies. I tend to like the more effecient aircraft in each class (ie 777, 787, A320). I guess the A380 is very effeicient but it is so darn ugly.

if a little accident prone (DC-10)

I agree with this, ever try doing a barrel roll or a loop in an A321? you can't! I really don't like Airbus' tendancy to remove control from the pilot and giving it to a processor.

I would rather have a plane that cant do loops and rolls than one that can.

yeah, I once saw a program about a fatal acident in a A300, prety much the whole crash occured due to the aircrafts computers, if the pilots had sat back and didn't touch anythign it would have been alright and the aircraft woudl have got itself out of the spining stall, well the story went somethign like that.. and why then do they train these bus drivers  j/k

The exception to this being the A340, IMO.
