Airline Mogul

I came across this link:

http://www.airlinemogul.com/airlinemogul/index.php

I have started my own little airline and it's going okay. Have 4 routes and has a (for me) good income per day.

There is a gamemanual where you can read more about the game and how to start up.

why can I only get 1950's aircraft? No Airbuses or 737's?
Do the years progress and allow me to get airbuses etc.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Thanks for the link, looks quite good.

As for the time period:
QUOTE
The game is constantly on-going, generally it doesn't stop or pause. The game started in 1950 and will run to 2009 in the game time. It takes approximately 2 years to run through.[/quote]
So I guess you will get your Airbuses and 737s at a later stage in the game. From the looks of it, it has only just started again.

Each month is a day (24 hours).
Each day is an hour.

I made Vincent Aviation! tongue.gif Based in WLG and it's gonna be a rival to ANZ!
Starting with a DC-3, just like the real thing laugh.gif
It'd be good to be able to start in 1992 like IRL too, but oh well. Looks fun!

Kelburn do you buy or lease aircraft?
I'm making about €30,000 a day (€60,000 from ticket prices, minus fuel and gates) with one DC-3 nearly fully utilised.
Base at Wellington
1 Gate each at Blenheim(7 returns a day), Napier(2 returns a day), Palmerston North(3 Returns a day), Nelson (4 returns a day) and Christchurch. No flights to NZCH as of yet as I can't fit them in. Every flight has a 100% load factor, so I'll wait and buy/lease another DC-3 for NZCH when I have the money.

We should make an NZFF alliance, and share tips for each other here tongue.gif

I screwed up my account!!! I went and bought 4 gates(so i can start there with lots of money) at Auckland and 1 gate at Nadi. I am now losing money at a good rate and will be gone in a few days!!!

You can always return the gates if you want, that will 'stem the flow' a little bit winkyy.gif

Just go to 'Gates' --> 'View Gates' then tick the box next to the gate(s) you want to return smile.gif

I'm currently saving up for either:
A - Boeing 307
or
B - Convair 240

I've got the majority of NZWN-NZWB flights- 7 returns a day with about 80% loads!

I've leased a DH.84 for 3 daily returns to NZCH and that's going well. To make a second hub somewhere do I need 4 gates at that airport?

Kelburn do you lease or buy aircraft?

victor_alpha_charlie, try to get a load factor of 100%.
Put down your prices or bring down your frequency to 5. You'll get more money as all flights will be booked full.
All my flights are 100% load factor. Have finalised on the Convair 240.
Also I own all my aircraft

You don't necessarily have to have a 100% load factor to earn the most. Just in the last hour I found that on the screen where you change price/frequency, you can use the price estimate to work out where you earn most. eg:
1) Set your price just below the competition, (but if one of them has some stupid €10 fare ignore it)
2) Adjust the frequency until the earnings are highest.

Works for me winkyy.gif

Also, will a DC-3 make it from NZWN to Norfolk Is?

Damn KElburn, how do you make so much money? Do you have a monopoly like ANZ? Ludicrously high fares with no competition?

I made some smart decisions (sort of by accident) choose your routes carefully. Use the research route option to see competitor prices.
Also before you rent gates, check how many passengers it says per year. The more people the more money the route will make.

There are now Boeing Stratoliners for lease for 500,000!
I got my account reset and am now earning 272,000 a day (an hour real-time) from Brisbane.
Owned Aircraft:
DC-3
Airspeed Ambassador (On Order)

Leased:
2x Boeing 307 Stratoliners
1x Convair 240
1x Convair 340
1xMartin 404

I have found the Convairs make more than 307's, But the Boeings were so damn cheap!

Destinations ( All from Brisbane at this stage, new base in Darwin coming soon to serve Indonesia etc)
Adelaide
Albany
Cairns
Canberra
Christchurch
Darwin
Melbourne
Nadi
Noumea
Townsville
Wellington

How's everyone else going?

Doing well there VAC....me on the other hand am not doing so well. I did some stupid gate rentals which i can't use(sold them now) which put me 4 mil in the red and i was only getting 20000 a day. I left it for a month or so and now have 400,000 or so. Soo I'll rent another aircraft and lease another gate. I only have one route you see.

Okay I now have no home base and no a/c anymore for some reason..... am i the only one?
