From the fuel pumps I taxied along the taxiway, got the the holding point - oh s***, did I put the fuel cap back on after refuelling? Called up the tower, stopped the engine and had a quick look. Phew, still there. I was a wee bit embarrassed, but I would have been more embarrased if avgas started pissing out the tank as I climbed away!
Since I'd shut down twice in the last 10minutes I thought it best to do another run-up, so after that I got airborne on runway 02 and climbed away. I found that I held my climb speed easily, getting an extra 200fpm or so due to the decreased weight (about a million people have told me to expect this!). Downwind, gained landing clearance but then they cancelled that, I ended up number 2 behind a C185. The landing was okay, I ended up only using 10* of flap cos I got a bit low (best not to get low in something like a 150) so I floated a wee bit. Taxied to the club for a coke and photos.
I would have like do more solo time that day instead of just .1, so I booked in again for lated that morning, getting another .4 for my logbook.
Then later I did ANOTHER flight (we're up to 4 logbook entries now...), non-instrument circuit comps. Much fun
As for pics, none were taken of me actually flying, only a few of me taxiing on a mates camera (which I don't have), and some posing pics beforehand.
