Hmm my DOP is nowhere near as good as yours but I am worth more? - oh well at least I am in the top ten airlines in South America - have based myself in Brasilia (the capital of Brazil) - with routes to Belem, Sao Paulo (2 airports) and Rio (2 airports).

DOP: €250,019
Airline Cash: €246,730
Airline Value: €52,653,294
Average Loadfactor: 99.35%

1 BAe 146-100

On order 1 EMB-110 P-1 Bandeirante (well I am in Brazil!)

I am quite strict on myself on a/c I buy - has to be a proper airliner and no Russian stuff.

It's because I sorted out where I would fly before the round started, then changed my mind. Looks like it was a good idea to change and fly where I do now :P

I'm no.7 in Australasia.

I decided to open a new base in Abu Dhabi.
This took down my value by 4mil but It should hopefully rise again. Now I can fly to all my current destinations with no competition (I am the only airline based in Abu Dhabi)

I went to the Wairarapa and came back toa whole lot of money :D

DOP: €1,536,792
Airline Cash: €5,032,354
Airline Value: €120,985,048

Average Loadfactor: 99.67% ( You actually save money leaving a route at 95% or above, because A) The fare will not keep going down because competitiors Loadfactors won't drop and B) you pay the difference you would make in route research costs.)
Date: 12 May 1983

Owned Aurcraft:
1x BAe 146-100
1x Embraer EMB110P1A/41 (soon to be sold)
5x Helio H-600B Stallion (Selling them off)
1x HS-748 Srs 2A
2x Metro III

Leased in:
1x BAe 146-100

On Order:
1x Metro III
1x Caravelle Super 10B

737-300's come out in 1984 so that should be good timing for me to purchase a large number of them.

Now ranked #3 in Australasia, and climbing

Remember one thing.

I will also get lots of 737-300's considering they are my favourite a/c

But for now I have got a second base and am in competition with my friend who is also on AM and strategically listened to me and based himself where I did and decided to copy my routes with a slightly larger aircraft. But I am now in Abu Dhabi as well!

We're on opposite sides of the world, and in the same alliance (assuming you want to join- entry will be a bit harder this round) so I doubt we'll compete with each other :P

You'll never succeed in NZ. Start in Oz, then open a NZ base later on if you have to. Otherwise you won't make much money at all.

Au contraire, I started in NZ again this round and I'm currently 9th biggest in Australasia with bases in CHC, WLG, PMR, ZQN and ADL. Just ordered a bunch of ATRs to do expansion from Adelaide as well.

So starting in NZ and being successful is not impossible, it's just harder than in Oz and way harder than in other continents.

Cheers

Haha yeah it's been hard enough for me anyway because of the limited time I can spend on it.

Yer I find that doing it properly would take up a lot of time - time I don't have.
But I've done okay and I should do okay next round.

Also i agree with Kelburn - it can get a bit boring at times.
I usually solve this with a quick break for a day or two.

Well, Multiworlds has started and it is much, much better.

No more changing routes every 5 secs, as everyone is spread over 5 or 6 worlds. It's actually fun now :D

I'm currently #1 in World 4 (Best world-1990's :D ) in Australasia, by a long, long way (more than double my closest competitor).

DOP €889,700
Airline Cash €14,109
Airline Value €30,678,079

Loadfactor 100.00%
Date 22 Mar 1990

World Public World #4

Owned:
4x CASA C212-300
1x Cessna 208A

Leased Out:
3x Airtech Canada DHC-3/PZL-3S Beaver

On Order:
1x Airtech Canada DHC-3/PZL-3S Beaver (To lease out)
1x Canadair CL-215T
1x Dash-8-100A
1x Shorts 360-300

Just fleet building until I can afford ATR's, then it will be all ATR 42's, Fokker 100's, 737-300/500's, 767-300ER's

What about you others playing?

Hey I read quite often but don't post much. I've just joined up to this game and love it so far. Though through a small mistake by buying an extra gate when not required has hampered my dosh. Learnt so much already, I hope it resets soon.

World 6 for me.

I'm 4th in Australasia by quite a bit (on both sides  ).
Unfortunately I made two stuff ups which are kind of hampering my growth a bit, but I'm getting there. Slower than I would like but still not too bad.

DOP at this stage is about E250,000 and value is 14 million or so.

I've got the Beech C99 starter plane, plus about 6 DHC3s.
Eventually I'll go for the dash 8 and/or ATR when they come out.
Not sure about the meantime.

Base is in Brisbane (I'd planned for Sydney, but stuffed it up. Then I couldn't be bothered with a reset.)

Cheers

Don't get Dash 8's, not really good enough range. Start your next base in SYD, then MEL. Try HS-748E's, then ATR's later on. Afterwards replace your ATR's with Caravelle 10B's (Only after you have 60 or so ATR's), the the Caravelle's with 737-200Advs. Not sure if you'll have enough time though.

UPDATE for me:

DOP €2,078,774
Airline Cash €9,451,077
Airline Value €121,245,761

Loadfactor 100.00%
Date 23 Jun 1990

World Public World #4

Planes:

Owned:
4x ATR 42-300 (want my whole fleet these eventually)
1X Canadair CL-215T
3x CASA C212-300
1x Cessna 208A
1x Dash-8-100A
1x Shorts 360-300

Leased Out:
3x Airtech Canada DHC-3/PZL-3S Beaver

On Order:
3x ATR 42-300
1x Fokker 50 (Brokering it for someone)

55 Routes.

Biggest in Australasia by a loooong way (Nearly 300% bigger than the closest person behind me)
