Had this for a little while, it's a great model, still yet to find a good panel and sounds though. They have a 72-500 lined up to make too (anyone up for a repaint when it's released?)

I decided to set this Sunday apart for a long session of simming, seeing as I have plenty of new addons to have a play around with from a weeks worth of downloading, including the ATR.

My test flight was an early morning dawn run from BHE to WLG and back to test the aircraft dynamics, have a look at the model:

After landing back at Woodbourne, I've decided I'll be uninstalling this one. The model is pretty average, I don't like the short structure of the fuselage, and the nose looks a little squashed. The panel is aliased from the default King Air, and for some reason, the aircraft is really tail heavy and easily stalls on approach (properly my fault on that case though). A VC isn't included, although the high mounted engines make for nice wing views for an alternative to spot view. On the other hand, the flight was very enjoyable was real world weather from Active Sky and I find it somewhat satisfying landing back at my airport of origin after completing a round trip.

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear other peoples opinions on the 42-300. I think I'll hold out for the 72 model which is bound to have a Mount Cook livery repainted for it somewhere down the line, but if not, just stick to my good ole' PMDG 1900d :)

If you don't like this one try this one (with repaints for AirNZ on Flightsim.com)

http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...c&Go=Search
or
http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...t&Go=Search

both same model. You may have to mix and match to get the panel and sound as well as the model as not all packages include them all.

That one is the full package made by the author (all the other ones are repaints with the model etc.)

The models for his ATR 42 and 72 aren't the best model wise but the package together is fantastic with a virtual cockpit and cabin.

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

Have you flown the Flight1 72-500? NZM repaint is already available. Payware a/c tho, but probably my favourite add-on. Flight model feels superb (I obviously can't comapre it to the real thing) and fully accurate startup procedure, FMC, etc etc. Only thing is that the FMC is a bit buggy.

Hi,

I'm Just looking at purchasing this. So it's worth it?

Just few in an ATR from PN - AA return on the weekend. Awesome.

We got a bit Iced up on the way to AA on saturday. Pilots had to run high prop rpm to remove the ice. Very loud in the cabin. Came across to say not to worry if you hear any loud bangs as this will be ice hitting the fuselage.

Wing and air intake very thick with ice. Feel they might of either forgotten or left it a bit late to switch on the de icing.

I loved it, wife poohed herself.

Cheers
