via Brisbane, BSB, Dubai?
Sounds good Trolly. I hear Alcohol is BYO on Royal Brunei, not that it will matter...
Yep- a 27 hour trip all in all- nothing I can't handle though, I flew 36 hours non stop with Guarda once (Auckland, Brisbane, Bali, Jakarta, Frankfurt, London). And yep, its a Muslim airline so alc isn't served on board- perhaps why the tickets were so cheap!

It's ironic how you are now allowed to bring guns or knifes onto the aircraft, but 40 ounce glass bottles full of spirts are permitted...

That will be me (except in Istanbul (was going to be Dubai but Singapore was Cheaper than Emirates)) in just over one year (School trip. Going to Turkey, Germany, France, Belgium and England - although it isn't cheap!)
Wow, sounds like fun! How long is your trip going to be for, and what’s the purpose of that distant travel- an extensive geography lesson?

So you are going on a big OE. Will it be a Big OFE (Overseas Flying Experience)?
Well we are going to travel around a bit once we get there- definitely going to Germany but maybe also the Netherlands, France and Spain.. you know how cheap airfares are over there, I got £80 return tickets from London to Barcelona a few years back with Easyjet, but the Eurotunnel train is also fast and cheap. Whatever happens, I'll set up a blog here and post any pics I take whenever I have internet access
