'Red Checkers' package for FSX

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby Nije32 » Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:35 pm

Hello all, just to let you know that the 'Red Checkers' package has been accepted through negotiations today but is conditional so not set in concrete. Hopefully it will be available from the Air Force website in ten days or less. I ask that you please be patient, because the longer you wait the cheaper it gets for you.... i.e. FREE which is the result I was after.
Cheers Nigel

Orsim...Whenuapai is just down the road, there a door one can queue at, to sign up?

Orsim is a flightsim word to replace the absolutely worked-to-death word of similar pronounciation
Orsimate is the next step up from orsim.

Lol, sorry the director of recruiting is based in Wellington and she'll have it in a few days then onto the webmaster to set it up a their server.
Good oh... :)
A big thanks to the VRC who have been BETA testing the package for me and enabled me to tweak a couple of minor issues. The VRC (Virtual Red Checkers) current members are Antony and Max and I believe they are looking to recruit anorher 3 members to complete the team. They cannot pass on the file till its released by the Air Force but that won't be long :D
Cheers all

If you ever get around to putting a FS9 version out, I'd be absolutely delighted to test it out for you! ;)

It would be awesome to see them have a season next year but by the sounds of it, due to a severe personnel shortage their may not be a 'Red Checkers' team. Apparently for the first time since 1967 ! Perhaps if Max, Antony and the rest of the VRC hone their skills enough, they could take the real seats?

Yeh Ian, it'll be released when its released, it is with the Air Force now so its upto them how quickly they get it hosted. I am hopeful its sooner than later.
Cheers Nije :P

Yeah for sure nothing like abit more motivation ,add the strikemasters and kamans and we have alot of fun ahead and some good movies all pay offs for the rnzaf and us ,retro new whatever just would like to see those who didn't make like myself still be able to have fun as a team more the merrier i suppose ...
we will see how it all pans out but im going to be doing something with them no matter and to have some others involved would be great ...
more just a club night thing where you get to do something different outside your normal comfort zone be you a good pilot or just a learner driver ... winkyy.gif

Congrats on getting it through the process. I know how frustrating it was for you. I have been flying it a fair bit lately, even online occasionally and have mastered the flight dynamics. I look forward to seeing the finished product and masses of yellow bug smashers flying the virtual NZ skies.

Excellent news! Deane's old CT4 model for FS98 was a favorite of mine back in the day! I can't wait for this release though - the previews have me drooling! I also want to jump on the wagon to request a FS9 version. I'm also up for a bit of formation work when the time comes - happy to start as Red 5 until I get my eye in! cool.gif I guess I better dust off my old Airforce flying overalls! ! =D
