Vincent loses AirNZ to Air National?

Heard a rumour from a reliable source. Any info? Must've come down to $$'s.

That would be a real loss for VA. I wouldn't imagine that this could happen though.
Vincent operate a Dash 8 which is capacity that Air National don't have.

As far as I knew Air National have a DHC-8-100 though.

They did. It was ZK-NEZ before it became ZK-VAC. They also had a 200 its reg was ZK-ECR.

Why would they which to just one contactor??

Yep their -200 (ECR) was sent back to its Egyptian owners after they were unhappy with the abysmally low hours it (and NEZ) were doing.

Interesting...
I have a friend who has just completed his J32 ground course and has been told no job before February 2009 because Air National wasn't getting any flying from Air NZ and the contract was due for renewal in the near future.

Well I guess time will tell then. Air Nat seem to be on the rise though, apparently a 146 on the way.
