check out the open cockpits site shop and on the stepper or servo board there is an example of an RMI made out of 3 stepper motors - this will give you some idea of where I am headed now.
I have decided to make my instruments myself and program with SIOC.
cheers
thanks towerguy, i have found the board s at dicksmith. it is a cheaper way to go for the instruments, as the simkits and others are very very expensive.
on another note, the opencockpits usb expansion and the mastercard have arrived, i will start building them over the next few days. SOIC looks like a really good and powerful program, i have only breifly looked at it, but reading other posts loks like it can do almost anything you need to program.Last edited by jastheace on Sun May 09, 2010 4:43 pm, edited 1 time in total. In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Oddly enough, i was doing a kind of stocktake yesterday in the store, prior to moving lots of things....and came across 2 A4 panels, and a Macchi......all the bits are removed and elsewhere in boxes, but i thought about asking if i could make a template from them for future use....as a sim panel....or just for decoration.

will post more when I do some, hopefully over this summer.
I know that feeling! I've done a little of late, mostly around building the room for the sim to live in... not very exciting, but very VERY important
I too will be posting pics, just as soon as I get around to taking some.
