The older P-51.....have to be honest, the more i fly this,(and the D) ....the less appealing the spitfire becomes......OH, I can hear the "accusim" crowd screaming from here .........Im sure you will have a stang soon....in the meantime the Warbirdsim is the one thumbup1.gif

During the war years, over England, I'll bet there were many chances for RAF and USAAF pilots to try each other on. The Spits and Mustangs - how did they compare against each other - would make interesting reading.

I have read the compares between the both , the pilots swapped and tried their hand in mock combat , the Spit was said to have a slightly higher work load in watching temps and med alts but both pilots agreed both as good except for the 51 long legs .

Both beautiful aircraft, Im just not that keen on the early spits...i love them , but not as photogenic as the Pony. The last spit was a beauty....with the bubble canopy....

The MkXIV , Tims nightmare machine , dang that was one pretty machine , VE day celebrations 1995 put the power into perspective , one wheel end up in a pothole on the runway edge , Mark Hanna tried to gun the engine to get it out , and jezz you had to see the fuse and wing tweak and twist to the share torch , one very powerful aircraft !

Nothing beats the P51D in my book too. I enjoyed your screenshots the other day in your D model ride! These are still very nice screenshots though!
