Second attempt. Amalgamated Helicopters 500E (Nemeth Freeware) Topdressing over the Otago Penninsula. This was a bit trickier than the Lama shot, but after a bit of fiddling I am Happy with the Result.

I guess its ag aviation themed, but I would not term an R22 an "Ag" aircraft as such. But everybody interprets the rules differently I guess.

Well, I thought about that before I took the screen and then thought it would be best if turned to my old friend Wikipedia. I read there:

QUOTE
Due to relatively low acquisition and operating costs, the R22 has been popular as a primary rotorcraft trainer around the world and as a livestock management tool on large ranches in North America and cattle stations in Australia.[/quote]

So I thought it passed? unsure.gif
And it's not because I don't like your cresco, infact it has a LOT of time in my logbook!

No doubt they do use Robbies to round up sheep in the South High Country...

In the early days, my first sim, FS3 had a cropduster mode where you had a certain time frame to fly over a field of squares which filled with colour (i think the sim only had 8 colours in total) if your cropdusting was done within the right altitude and track.

Hahaha I would have thought that with all the ag research that you have done, you would have found that the R22 is about as Kiwi ag as you can get!

A comment from a one-month wonder (newby). Compared to the January screenie comp, this month's is becoming a revelation in or revitalization of the versatility of this membership. I believe, at the conclusion of the contest, a group citation be considered for all entrants. No cash value - of course smile.gif .

Don't quite understand?? Whilst a few R22 are used by some operators for the odd job, they are definitely not "as kiwi ag as you can get" !! They are a training/private helicopter with very limited payload. Even Robinson Helicopters do not endorse what some operators are doing with them as many have crashed as a result of flying beyond there design parameters.

As ole Frank said , it was designed to get ya to work and home again without the US freeways , that was 30 years ago , today they push the limits still .... was not designed for the task , just adapted and broken the rules .

Personally I'd like someone to model the Auster Agricola so that I could enter that in the Screenshot Competition. Deane?? Anyone???
