.......Back to the 737 , with all the screens above , little mention off the switch,s , many extra options like fuel load and watching fuel use , 6000kg at NZHN - NZWN FL250 , getting to 25000ft fuel was 3100kg
landing at with 1780 kg , it was more a dogleg flight , well worth $81NZ cool.gif

As Gary Larsen would put it ....".......Upon meticulously leveling off at exactly FL250 Ian took time to smile inwardly with satisfaction when DANG! he noticed that the gear and flap were still down....."

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

(your FSX directory)\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX then open the file 737NGX_Colors and go to the

FLOODS_NIGHT_R_VC=X
FLOODS_NIGHT_G_VC=X
FLOODS_NIGHT_B_VC=X

entry and the value is what the X's are.

As I posted earlier, has anyone got the NZQN RNAV ZULU approaches working with the NGX?

No, don't know how to use RNAV lol. You could ask someone in the NGX forums and maybe a real world NG pilot could help you out. smile.gif

A while ago Steve Hall made some RNAV approaches for PMDG aircraft. They are still on the VATNZ site - VATNZ Link

You uploaded them into the STAR/SID folder and you could select them in the FMC and fly them. They worked in FS9, but I moved to FSX (no real good 737NG's at the time in FSX) and have attempted to use them with the NGX and I have no SIDS/STARS for NZQN at all.

I asked the Q and the answer is that "RF legs are coming in a later service pack - navdata doesn't current support them. " So it will be in a SP.

Same problem here. Is the problem that net "old" SIDSTAR file for NZQN contains a procedure that the FMC in the new plane can't deal with yet? And has anyone heard when the service pack is due? I wouldn't mind mucking about with the current (non-functional) file to see if I can work around the problem. Does anyone have a manual/guide for the file format? It looks fairly straightforward. For that matter, does anyone here have the original SIDSTAR file NZQN.txt that was delivered with the NGX? I accidentally overwrote mine, and It would be useful to have a basis for comparison.

Just for the record, y'all know there have been a couple of patches released ? RSR said on the latest one in big bold italic letters This fix should be considered mandatory for all users, and in a smaller font "It includes quite a bit of updated functionality too- because we are working through a list of updates/fixes for SP1, and they get built right into the HotFix"

The download link is at the bottom of this post on the PMDG forum.

Yeah, got that patch. Doesn't do anything for this particular issue though. I'm going to see if I can solve this methodically. Strip down the SIDSTAR file to bare bones, then re-add sections until it breaks again. See which procedures we can keep, and which will need tweaking. Shouldn't take more than a few evenings :-D. I found the original question on the PDMG forum about the Queenstown RNAV approaches not working, it would seem that the problem is in the ARC commands in the approach. Not supported at present, and apparently messes up the whole file.
