Has any one flown with the update? Ive just realised I canot damage the engine any more. I just jumped into a cold and new Mk1 fire it up and firewalled the throttle cold a nd flew around. Yes accusim was on and the radiator vented at around 125 degress. Landed after 20min of full throttle, enter the hangar and report says "as New" Somthings up me thinks.

Still can damage the engine , wonder if a switch is turned off or on in your settings , take a little while longer , soon as oil go over the 80 deg mark keep pushing it , think the earlier setting was a little to easy to blow . I did not check the hanger and engine check , jumping in out of FS

Yes, you sure can damage the engine - I have, but it does appear a bit easier to prevent this happening than before. I cooked mine by idling the engine on finals as I came in, appeared ok at first but blew up during taxing to the hanger...

hmm, maybe because I copyed over the spitfire log dll file that records hrs run and engine condition after I install the update. May ahve somthing to do with it. think i will reinstall the a2a spit again. Damn it. That blows my 6 hrs of well managed flying on the MkII. WIll have to do it all over.

Hells Bells , the engine needed the update , it was to simple to blow the engine up previous , had it been like that WWII , the Spitfire would have shot its self down more than the Jerry got em ohmy.gif

Maybe your just not pushing the engine hard enough , close the oil filter and stick to tree top level at maximum power and see what happens .. first the glycol steam at 80 and then watch the temp climb from there , you hit the 100 you hit the silk .. now that,s an addon needed .
