Shot up to Rangiora this afternoon looking at car parts, and snapped these.....













anyone know what "KTO" is ?.......and sorry their so big (the pics)

I'm not to sure, but I was out there with a pilot friend a few months baclk and we were discussing that aircraft (I think) for some reason. J6 of some description springs to mind for some reason, but don't take my word for it. tongue.gif

thanks anyway grasshopper, Whatever it is....it dont like an 8kt cross wind.....in fact on his last take off he used 22 and was never seen again.

"The Karatoo
We have three Karatoo J-6 aircraft currently on the register.
All three have been constructed at Rangiora.
The first was the Norman Karatoo J6 ZK-KTO , c/n J6 673P , registered to Mike Small on 28-08-2001.
It was re-designated as an Australian Av Works Karatoo J6C on 15-04-2003."

Might be easier to drive to Rangi , jump inta a plane and fly to Dougs place biggrin.gif be a lot more fun
