MS Flight due for release on the 29th Feb!

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby Timmo » Tue Feb 07, 2012 6:49 am

I just got a notification through Facebook that MS is due to release Microsoft Flight on the 29th!
http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/#news-flight_launch

So, not long to go before we can all decide for ourselves whether this new 'sim' is worth it or not smile.gif

They have also posted a 'behind the scenes' look at the development of the game

You don't need a joystick , you don't need a keyboard ... just grab your mouse and go ?

Does anyone know the conversion between the Xbox live currency and 'real' money? I.e. how much will the first expansion cost?

100 points = NZ$1.65
So the Hawaii pack costs NZ$26.40

EDIT: includes the RV-6A, so really not a bad price.

Read this from a very experienced person (IT, flight sim and real world pilot).

I think Mr Randazzo from PMDG very said it about Flight couple months back and opted to continue with FSX , be interest to see results and what can be done on or in Flight , would the DC-6 work in it .. did any try adding an FSX addon ? .

I have tried to import FSX aircraft but with no success.. Which is a real let down looks like the file formats have been changed

You mean "Back to the Future"

MS should have bought Michael J Fox and his Delorean back as Project Team leader dry.gif

I can't really see mouse-control as a backward step -- it is a control option only, you don't need to use the mouse. For new users, the mouse makes a lot more sense than a keyboard, or having to go out and buy a joystick.

Indeed. Having proper mouse control would be welcome in FSX too, especially in slew mode for development and visualisation.

I wish my cat would stick to mice -- he's more into fantails.
