Well I was waiting for the PMDG 6 but I caved today..
...I needed to tweak a few entries in the airfile and config but overall I am very happy with this latest JF/Aeroplane Heaven offering.... In 3 words "Their best yet" hands down.

Same here ... I caved in too! I'd be interested in knowing more about your air file tweaks winkyy.gif

eg. Did you find the water injection actually boosted thrust? Not on mine - or at least not so much that I've noticed ... not like on the A2A B377.

Yeah boost works nicely. You only get 5 seconds of it though.

Adam sent ya a PM with link to airfiles

It turned out to be a bit of a full rebuild, a few things that were done... Reverse thrust is fully operational (Prop levers full back + throttle usage) aircraft will now stop and back up, Aircraft bleeds airspeed a little better now, Flight attitude now not so nose up.
Not quite as lethargic in control. let us know what ya think.

If you have FSUIPC full here is a lua script I wrote to control the boost by controller button. save it as JFDC6.lua file in the modules folder.

===========Copy Between the lines==============

--Emergency Boost
-- Set to Zero
ipc.writeLvar("L:wep_switch",0)

if ipcPARAM == 1 then

BOOST = "L:wep_switch"
val = 0

if ipc.readLvar(BOOST) == 0 then
val = 1

end
ipc.writeLvar(BOOST, val)

elseif ipcPARAM == 2 then

BOOST = "L:wep_switch"
val = 0

if ipc.readLvar(BOOST) == 1 then
val = 0

end
ipc.writeLvar(BOOST, val)

end

==========================================

Thanks, RD - I certainly do have the full FSUIPC (can't live without it!!) .. but I must admit LUA files are black magic to me! I'll give it a go ... if I can find a spare joystick button that hasn't already been assigned to fifteen commands laugh.gif

Well ... the LUA works a treat! You have the honour of the first ever (working) Adamski LUA script thumbup1.gif

OTW NZAA->NZWN right now ... it certainly takes off/climbs "flat" doesn't it?!* Took me a while, but once at cruising altitude, it positively flies along!

Many off the fix's were addressed with a very quick patch and mainly due to the PMDG announcement on their Six , with paint kit also released has anyone had a play with it .

The paint kit is a nightmare. 6 panels per side and not one of them lines up with the one beside it.
Started on the RNZAF 31 paint and gave up after 3 hours of f&$@n around with just one side. Will keep going though as am half way there ...
